Sproutkit is an independent software studio based in London. We built this tool because we were doing the work ourselves — walking past barber shops, cafés and garages with no website, and knowing there was a business there if only the first pitch didn't take half a day.
So we automated the boring half. Sproutkit finds the businesses that genuinely don't have a site, builds each one a real, working demo from their own photos and reviews, and keeps your outreach in one place. The pitch stops being hypothetical — you send them the thing itself.
We're a small team, we answer our own support email, and we'd rather ship something we use every day than something that demos well.

Questions, answered
My Mac says "Sproutkit is damaged and can't be opened" — is it?+
No — the app is fine. Because Sproutkit isn't yet signed with an Apple Developer certificate, macOS quarantines the download and shows that misleading error. After moving Sproutkit into your Applications folder, open Terminal and run: xattr -cr /Applications/Sproutkit.app — then launch it as normal. You only need to do this once. Who is Sproutkit for?+
Freelance web developers, small agencies, and lead-gen specialists who sell websites to local small businesses. If you've ever cold-pitched a barber shop with no website, this app is for you.
How much does it cost to run?+
You bring your own API keys (Anthropic, Google Places, Vercel). Typical cost: ~£0.05 per lead discovered, ~£0.02 per website generated. The first 100 sites a day are free on Vercel's hobby tier.
Do I need to be technical to use this?+
Not really. You'll need to grab three API keys (we walk you through it on first launch), but after that it's all click-and-go. No coding required.
What accounts and API keys do I need to run Sproutkit?+
Five free accounts, all with generous free tiers. (1) Anthropic — API key for Claude, used to generate the sites. (2) Google Cloud — a Places API key so we can pull local businesses, photos, and reviews. (3) Vercel — an API token so Sproutkit can deploy each site to Vercel's free hobby tier. (4) Supabase — free Postgres for licensing and any CMS content your customers edit. (5) Resend — for magic claim links and customer emails (optional but recommended). We show you exactly where to click for each one during onboarding.
Where does my data live?+
Locally on your Mac or PC. Sproutkit uses an embedded SQLite database — your leads never touch our servers unless you choose to provision a CMS for a paying customer.
Can I use my own AI model / hosting?+
Yes. The Anthropic key is yours, the Vercel token is yours, the Google Places key is yours. Sproutkit is the orchestration layer — we don't lock you in.
What happens when a customer pays?+
Click 'Set up CMS' on their kanban card. Sproutkit provisions a hosted CMS, sends them a magic claim link, and they can edit their own site forever — text, photos, theme, everything.
